Prince

"Prince" is a one-of-a-kind art doll, sculpted using ProSculpt (head, hands, boots). Prince was created during Jack Johnston's Professional sculpting class (costuming was done ahead of time). He stands 18" tall (19" including the base), and can be removed from the base (tubes in his feet fit over rods in the base). Prince's body is soft-sculpted and is poseable.

Prince wears an elaborate costume of coordinated aqua, rust and black silk... adorned with black trim and appliques. Beads were added to the trim and appliques (about 30 hours of beading), and a beaded belt and headband were hand-made to complete his outfit. Prince's gown includes aurora borealis accents. He wears a cape that includes a "V" overlay (also adorned with trim and beadwork). Beneath Prince's gown, he wears black silk pants with an aqua belt sash.

Prince has auburn hair (mohair, applied one lock at a time), and blue glass eyes. He holds a cross in one hand (which he is looking at intently), and clutches strands of jewels in his other hand. A crystal cross sits at his feet.

Created by Holly Thompson in 2003.
